Leadership
Great leaders are almost always great simplifiers, who can cut through argument, debate, and doubt to offer a solution everybody can understand.
You cannot motivate anyone but yourself. To enhance or cause action in others, you must create an atmosphere around them wherein they will want to motivate themselves.
“The most powerful element of persuasion is listening. The most effective stimulant to change is asking the right questions. Great Leaders are masters of both.”
“No man will make a great leader who wants to
do it all himself, or to get all the credit for doing it.”
Some men fish all their lives without really knowing it is not the fish they are after.
Never miss a good chance to shut up.
“Clean up your own backyard. Change by example. Just be the way you want others to be and hope they pay attention.”
“Companies go through phases. It’s inevitable. They are born; they grow; you have to make them profitable when they don’t want to be; from time to time you must reorganize; . . . and if you do it right, you get to repeat the process.”
“Authenticity is the single most celebrated characteristic of leadership. When it comes to vision, purpose, and integrity; a person’s daily behavior tells all.”
“Remember, No decision IS a decision . . . to do nothing.”
“Management is doing things right; Leadership is doing the right things.
“It’s easier to move from failure to success than from excuses to success. Great leaders don’t make excuses.”
“I believe that people should strive for the top of their game, not necessarily the top of the organization.”
Perpetual optimism is a force multiplier.
“Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.
Let our worrying become advanced thinking and planning.
