Chasing the Good Life

Have you ever thought about what you would like to be different in your job, your relationship, or your life in general? If so, did you think more about what you would like in the future, or what you don’t like about the current reality?

This is a big deal. In fact, it is the difference between people who are moving toward what they want in life and people who are stuck in a rut. I believe with all my heart that great possibilities lie ahead for all of us. Some of us will realize them in grand fashion, and some of us will not.

You might say, “It’s not that simple”, or “you don’t understand”, or “if you were in my shoes. . . “. If you did, you would be mistaken. Realizing your dreams actually is that simple and that powerful.

Proven Axioms:

  • We move toward and become what we think about most.
  • Association breeds replication.
  • There are 168 hours in a week. If you spend enough of them thinking about and moving specifically toward what you want, progress will be made. If you don’t, the outcome is left to chance.

What Do You Want?

Shockingly, most people don’t know what they want, and if they did, they would have a hard time believing they are worthy of such good fortune. When you can imagine your dreams in living color and high definition detail, you begin to see yourself living them. Not today, not tomorrow, but someday. The more real the dreams become in your mind, strange coincidences begin to happen. Opportunities spring up out of thin air and move you a little closer. You become hopeful and enthusiastic. You begin by believing without tangible evidence, and before you know it, you discover evidence that this could really happen.

People like enthusiasm. It’s contagious. As a result, more opportunities come your way. Where were all of these opportunities hiding? What if I told you that they were there the entire time, and you couldn’t see them because your thinking was limited. Begin today. See your dreams in living color every day. Write them down.

Your dreams can be your own little secret, or you can share them. If you share them, beware of those who care about you. They will try and get you to come to your senses in the name of saving you pain. “I love you and I don’t want to see you get hurt. Maybe you should just stay right here and hang with the rest of us. It’s a lot safer.” Safer for whom? People don’t want to be left behind. If you start making the changes that make your dreams come true, it will impact others in a variety of ways. Be prepared and keep believing. Keep moving.
